Match Report
Match Report - 28 Mar 2010, Maclay Football Club Red drew with Leverstock Green Raiders
For once Maclay Red's performance earned the team a point. Maclay were unlucky to be 0-1 down at half time after conceding a penalty just before the break. Jack Wiggs scored a fine goal after half time to put Maclay back into the match and very nearly doubled his tally with a header that just went over the crossbar. Leverstock Green Raiders, undefeated in the league this season and who had lost their Herts County Cup semi final the week before really stepped up a gear in the last twenty minutes but Maclay's impressive defence performed very well. It took a great penalty save near the end from man of the match James Lagdon to secure the point but that being said Maclay could have won the match at the death if Raiders had not defended a last minute Maclay corner so well.
