Match Report - 06 Nov 2011, Maclay Football Club Red beat Brookfield Rangers

Maclay saved their best performance of the season so far for this important County Cup match. The boys in red and white stripes swept into the attack from the start and had a string of early chances before ROBERT PRUNTY opened the score with a well placed header from Nat Holzmann's perfect cross. The Rangers keeper made a good save from Jake De Souza's well struck penalty to keep his side in the game before half time. The second half saw Maclay carry on where they had left off and after good work from De Souza, Man of the Match ADAM COWLAND scored from close range to give his team a two goal lead. CHRIS HEATH added a third from s short corner before impressive play from Dyke and De Souza enabled BEN O'CONNOR to seal the win with a superb goal. Brookfield worked very hard throughout the match and their keeper was very impressive.
