Match Report - 10 Mar 2013, Maclay Football Club Red beat Thame Boys
Maclay moved into the semi final of the Turnbull Cup with this decisive 9-0 win over Thame. Thame worked hard throughout the match and were a credit to their manager and club but ultimately Maclay's passing game was too much for them.
Top scorer MATT ASHBY started things with three good goals in the first half hour, two of them from passes for the returning Joshua Lee, making his first appearance for the Maclay first team for nine years.
ROBERT PRUNTY grabbed a hat trick with his trademark surging runs and strong shooting. ADAM COWLAND scored his first goal of the season with a well struck shot from 30 yards. Last week's Man of the Match ROBIN NIVEN scored a typical goal near the end.
BEVAN GOSLING won Man of the Match for another fine display in the centre of midfield.
