Match Report - 03 Oct 2010, Maclay Football Club Red lost to Echoes
Almost but not quite........ Maclay played really well for most of the match but lapses in concentration were enough to let a much improved Echoes team grab all three points. Maclay were looking very good until Robert Prunty handled in the box just before half time. Jordan Blythe almost saved the penalty but Echoes ended the half one up. Echoes went two up with a fine headed goal before Adam Cowland grabbed a goal back after fine play by Calum Alexander, James Lagdon and Chris Humber. Chris Heath's clash of heads with the superb Man of the Match Callum Miles slowed down Maclay's momentum. Two top quality saves from the Echoes keeper near the end meant Maclay went home empty handed, despite playing the last few minutes against ten men when Echoes had a player sent off for foul and abusive language.
