Match Report

Match Report - 14 Oct 2012, Maclay Football Club Red beat Holtspur

Maclay produced a very good second performance to win this match against a team including a number of players who played in the Penn & Tylers Green side that beat Maclay in last season's league cup final. Holtspur went one nil up after half an hour after a Maclay defensive error. The second half saw Maclay transformed as Tom Dyke moved into midfield and Edward Butler-Caddle sealed up the left back position. Three goals from top scorer MATT ASHBY and one from the effervescent ROBIN NIVEN were enough to give Maclay all three points. MATT ASHBY won Man of the Match but impressive performances from substitutes Robert Prunty and Edward Butler-Caddle saw them both mentioned in despatches.
