Match Report
Match Report - 07 May 2013, Maclay Football Club Red beat Chesham United Rangers
Maclay ended a long hard season with a 2-1 win over local rivals Chesham United. The first half was very even but Maclay improved after the break and started to play much better football. Chesham scored in the 64th minute but Maclay top scorer MATT ASHBY equalised two minutes later after some fine work chasing down the opposition defenders. Maclay stepped up a gear in the last twenty minutes and were rewarded when Glasgow born ROBIN NIVEN slammed in the winning goal four minutes from the end. This was a competitive but fairly played match and both teams should be congratulated. Maclay captain, ADAM COWLAND won Man of the Match for his fine second half display in central midfield, narrowly pipping Edward Butler-Caddle and Jack Hunter.
